Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must possess a valid veterinarian license in good standing with the State of Michigan

  • Ability to: lift and carry animals and equipment up to 50 lbs., walk or stand for extended periods of time, frequently work in a bent position, come in contact with peanut butter

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients and their animals through effective communication and excellent medical record keeping

  • Examine and treat dogs and cats by appointment and occasionally in work-in/emergency setting

  • Prioritize traumatic injuries and serious illnesses, in addition to regularly scheduled wellness appointments, to ensure that all animals receive the care they need in a timely fashion

  • Partner and educate clients on the importance of preventative care; vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick products, chronic disease management & general treatment plan compliance

  • Perform routine surgeries and dental procedures
